Lighthouse Assembly of God Church Purpose Driven Declaration

Today we are stepping across the line. We are tired of waffling and we are finished with wavering. We have made our choice, the verdict is in and our decision is irrevocable. We are going God’s way. There is no turning back now

We will live the rest of our lives serving God‘s purposes with God’s people on God’s planet for God’s glory. We will use our lives to celebrate His presence, cultivate His character, participate in His family, demonstrate His love, and communicate His word.

We declare that since our past has been forgiven, and we have a purpose for living, and a home waiting in heaven, we refuse to waste any more time or energy on shallow living, petty thinking, trivial talking, thoughtless doing, useless regretting, hurtful resenting, or faithless worrying. Instead we will magnify God, grow to maturity, serve in ministry, and fulfill our mission in the membership of His family.

Because this life is preparation for the next, we will Value worship over wealth, “We” over “me,” character over comfort, service over status and people over possessions, position, and pleasures. We know what matters most, and we will give it all we have got. We will do what we can with what we have for Jesus Christ in our life time.

We won’t be captivated by culture, manipulated by critics, motivated by praise, frustrated by problems, incapacitated by temptation, or intimidated by the devil. We will keep running our race with our eyes on the goal, not the sidelines or those running by us. When times get tough, and we get tired, we won’t back up, back off, back down, back out, or backslide. We will just keep moving forward by God’s grace. We are Spirit –led, purpose driven, and mission-focused, so we cannot be bought, we will not be compromised, and we shall not quit until we finish the race

We are trophies of God’s amazing grace, so we will be gracious to everyone, grateful for everyday, and generous with everything God entrusts to us.

To our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, We say, with the help of the Holy Spirit that “However, whenever, wherever, and whatever you ask us to do, our answer in advance is yes! Wherever you lead and whatever the cost we are ready. Anytime. Anywhere. Anyway. Whatever it takes, Lord; whatever it takes! We want to be used by you, so that on the final day we will hear you say, Well done, thou good and faithful ones. Come on in, and let the eternal party begin” Thank you for joining our spiritual journey. Amen.
